PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — To meet rising demand for its products, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is set to open a new distribution center in the Indianapolis area.
The durable medical equipment (DME) manufacturer said Tuesday that the 232,000-square-foot facility, located in Greenwood, Ind., is slated to go into operation on June 1 and will house the full Drive DeVilbiss product line.
And like other Drive DeVilbiss distribution centers in South Brunswick, N.J.; Atlanta; and Rialto, Calif., the Indianapolis facility features the latest in warehouse automation, the company noted.
“This demonstrates our commitment to our customers,” commented Harvey Diamond, chief executive officer for Drive DeVilbiss. “Customers who are serviced by the new distribution center will have access to the entire Drive DeVilbiss product portfolio. We will continue to optimize our supply chain to provide better value and improved service levels to our customers.”
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare’s roster of offerings includes mobility products, beds, bariatric products, wheelchairs, sleep surfaces and pressure prevention products, respiratory equipment, self-assist products, power-operated wheelchairs, rehabilitation products, patient room equipment, personal care products and electrotherapy devices.
The company has corporate offices and distribution facilities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, China and Taiwan and markets its products to customers in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
Drive Medical acquired DeVilbiss Healthcare, a global manufacturer of respiratory and sleep products, last July. Drive said at the time that the acquisition represented its largest to date. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
