Florastor expands into skin wellness with new Digest + Skin Renew probiotic

Rooted in digestive health, the formula pairs clinically studied probiotics and botanicals to support digestive balance and promote healthier-looking skin.

BEDMINSTER, N.J. — Probiotic brand Florastor is expanding beyond digestive health with the launch of Digest + Skin Renew, a new supplement designed to support both gut health and healthier-looking skin.

The new formula combines clinically studied probiotics, botanicals and vitamin C in a single daily supplement aimed at consumers seeking wellness products that address both health and beauty needs. The launch reflects growing interest in the gut-skin connection, an emerging area of focus that links digestive health and skin appearance.

According to Florastor, Digest + Skin Renew is formulated to support digestive balance, reduce bloating and promote immune health while also improving skin firmness, radiance and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The supplement contains a proprietary blend that includes antioxidant French melon superoxide dismutase, upcycled damask rose extract and vitamin C derived from acerola cherries.

“The data makes it clear that consumers are no longer separating wellness and appearance when it comes to supplements,” said Bindu Shah, chief marketing officer at Florastor. “Digest + Skin Renew was developed in direct response to that shift, bringing together digestive balance and visible skin benefits in a single, targeted formula.”

Florastor cited clinical findings showing a 40% increase in skin radiance and a 65% improvement in tone uniformity after 90 days of continuous use of the formula’s featured ingredients.

To support the launch, the company has partnered with Lindsay Hubbard and Marisa Garshick. Garshick will help educate consumers about the gut-skin axis and the relationship between digestive balance and skin health, while Hubbard will participate in social media campaigns and promotional events.

“As a dermatologist, I'm seeing more and more patients who want to understand how their internal health connects to what's happening with their skin, and the gut-skin axis is key,” Garshick said.

The company is also planning consumer sampling events in New York City on June 6 and June 13, with pop-up activations at locations including the High Line Gardens and Madison Square Park area. The events are designed to promote Florastor’s “beauty blooms from within” messaging and introduce consumers to the new product.

The launch marks Florastor’s latest effort to broaden its presence in the wellness category while building on its longstanding focus on microbiome science and digestive health.
