Flu shots now available at Walgreens pharmacies, clinics

DEERFIELD, Ill. — With flu season starting, Walgreens announced that flu shots are now available in all of its pharmacies and Healthcare Clinics, including Duane Reade pharmacies and Walgreens-owned Rite Aid pharmacies.

Walgreens also announced that it is kicking off its “Get a Shot. Give a Shot.” for its seventh season.

On Sept. 1, Walgreens and the United Nations Foundation will kick off the “Get a Shot. Give a Shot.” campaign. For every flu shot or other vaccine administered at a Walgreens pharmacy or Healthcare Clinic, Walgreens will donate the value of a life-saving vaccine to a child in need.

From Sept. 1 through Jan. 31, 2020, Walgreens will donate to UNF 23 cents per shot for each immunization a patient receives from a Walgreens pharmacy or from Healthcare Clinic locations managed by Take Care Health Systems in the United States, up to an aggregate maximum donation value of $2.6 million.
