CINCINNATI — David Vucurevich, a former pharmaceutical purchasing executive at Rite Aid Corp., is joining generic drug manufacturer Prasco Laboratories.
Vucurevich, slated to start at Prasco in October, will serve as senior vice president of corporate development, responsible for guiding the company’s long-term growth and development. He will report to E. Thomas Arington, Prasco’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Most recently, Vucurevich was vice president of pharmaceutical purchasing and clinical services at Rite Aid, overseeing purchasing, regulatory, clinical support programs, partner-vendor-supplier collaborative initiatives and acute care clinics in the drug store chain’s network of more than 4,800 pharmacies.
Rite Aid announced late last week that it promoted pharmacy veteran Ernie Richardsen to replace Vucurevich.
"David brings great management skills and extensive experience to our executive management team," Arington said in a statement. "With over 25 years of industry experience, he possesses a vast knowledge of the regulatory environment, managed care and retail pharmacy."
