RENTON, Wash. —Genoa Healthcare continues to grow across the country with more than 750 locations.
For pharmacist Melody Dauria, opening Genoa Healthcare’s first pharmacy in Delaware was an opportunity to expand access to the specialized, high‑touch pharmacy care the organization is known for.
“I’m thrilled to lead the team that gets to show Delaware what Genoa is all about,” says Melody, pharmacy site manager at the Delaware location. “We’re a pharmacy that extends care beyond the counter. For people living with mental illness, substance use disorder and other complex conditions, we offer a more hands‑on, supportive pharmacy experience.”
For more than 20 years, Genoa has delivered high‑touch behavioral health pharmacy services in communities across 48 states. Pharmacies are co-located directly inside mental health centers and clinics, making medication access easier and allowing pharmacy teams to collaborate closely with the broader care team.
“What I love about being a pharmacist at Genoa is getting to know my consumers — and their providers — on a first‑name basis,” Melody says. “For many of the people we serve, their visit to the clinic and pharmacy may be the only interaction they have all day. We want that moment to feel personal and meaningful.”
In addition to serving people within the clinic, Genoa pharmacies support surrounding communities by filling all medications and offering specialized services, including:
• Behavioral health specialty medications, including long‑acting injectables.
• Genoa CARE Packaging prefilled pill organizers.
• Support with prior authorizations and insurance questions.
• Free medication mailing.
• Celebrating consumers through programs like Genoa’s annual Art Celebration.
“At Genoa, I get to practice at the top of my license while building real relationships,” Melody says. “I love bringing this level of care to Delaware.”

A Pharmacist Driven to Make an Impact
For Terence “Terry” Collins, trying new things has always been part of life. From teaching himself autobody repairs after his son’s minor accident to tackling yardwork on his own, Terry embraces hands‑on learning. Recently, he even took up jiu‑jitsu so he could share a new passion with his sons.
That same curiosity guided his career path — shifting from chemical engineering to pharmacy in college — and ultimately led him to Genoa Healthcare. After years in retail pharmacy, Terry wanted a role where he could build meaningful connections with the people he served. At Genoa, he found a pharmacy model rooted in relationship‑building and collaborative care.
Taking on a new specialty area didn’t slow him down. Terry also became a preceptor to pharmacy students. “I feel like I have something to share,” he says. “By mentoring students, I’m paying it forward. It’s my responsibility to help move the profession forward and give others the chance to see what a pharmacy like Genoa is truly about.”
What sets Genoa apart, Terry says, is the shared commitment to consumers.
“Genoa is a client‑focused pharmacy where we genuinely look out for every single person we serve,” he reflects.
For Terry, caring for consumers is more than a profession — it aligns perfectly with his passion for growth, learning and supporting others.
“When I get to share the work we do with doctors, my team and interns, it feels like we’re all part of the same mission,” he says. “And we get to see the impact we make on real people.”
Going the Extra Yard to Help a Patient Keep Her Coverage

After unexpectedly losing Medicaid coverage, one patient shared one worry with her behavioral health care provider: She wasn’t sure she could keep paying for her medications.
The provider turned to Genoa Healthcare pharmacist Victoria “Tori” Davidson to see if she could help. The patient had never used the clinic’s on-site Genoa pharmacy before, but the team identified financial assistance resources designed to keep consumers like her on track with their care. For people facing affordability challenges, these resources can help bridge coverage gaps and reduce the risk of treatment disruptions.
Tori immediately got to work. First, she reviewed the patient’s medication list and searched for available discounts to see if she could reduce the cost. Then, she partnered with a nurse at the clinic to secure samples of her medications to get her through for the time being.
“No one should go without their medication because of the cost,” said Tori. “For many of our consumers, treatment interruptions can have serious consequences for both mental and physical health.”
Knowing cost was still a barrier, Tori worked closely with Nina to identify the most affordable option for her medications. By exploring discount programs and coordinating with Nina’s care team, she was able to secure lower-cost access the same day – so Nina could leave the clinic with the medications she needed while her coverage was being reinstated.
“I explained everything, helped her fill out the application form and got it into our system immediately,” said Tori. “Being able to step in during a vulnerable moment and remove a financial barrier meant she could continue her treatment without added stress or fear.”
“Knowing that I can help someone feel supported, heard and able to continue their treatment is incredibly rewarding,” said Tori. “It’s about making a tangible difference in someone’s life, sometimes in moments when they need it most.”
