SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Ross Davison has joined H.D. Smith as chief financial officer.
The drug wholesaler said Tuesday that Davison will oversee all of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, treasury, planning and budgeting, tax, risk management, corporate capital structuring and investor relations.

Most recently, Davison served as CFO as ResCare Inc., a Louisville, Ky.-based provider of services to people with disabilities and home care. Before that, he held CFO roles at Blackhawk Development/Onyx Capital, Great Escape Theatres and Papa John’s Pizza/PJ United and served as a senior manager at Arthur Andersen.
Davison also has consulting experience and serves as a board member for private equity portfolio investment company PJ United, one of the largest Papa John’s Pizza franchisees.
