Hampel most recently worked as senior legislative assistant, press secretary and manager of health policy issues for Iowa Democratic Rep. Dave Loebsack.

“Vonnie brings the policy, politics and press trifecta to NACDS, with impressive experience earned on Capitol Hill and on federal and state campaign teams,” Steve Anderson, president and chief executive officer of NACDS, said in a statement last month. “She will contribute to NACDS’ ‘all branches and all levels of government’ approach to health care advocacy, which includes issue expertise, grassroots empowerment and proactive communications. Her attentiveness to serving constituents while working for Congressman Loebsack will translate well to NACDS’ member-centric focus, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Anderson said he was especially pleased that Hampel would be on board prior to the NACDS RxImpact Day on Capitol Hill in mid-March.
