MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP) hosted a highly successful virtual Town Hall event on June 27 to discuss and provide potential solutions for the most pressing issues faced by the homeopathic industry. The event brought together leading experts and industry professionals who contributed to a vibrant discussion on the future of homeopathy and the challenges it faces.

A highlight of the Town Hall event was the comprehensive pre-event survey, which generated a remarkable 100 comments from participants. The survey feedback highlighted, among others, two major themes: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and regulatory matters. The panelists addressed these and other issues during the Town Hall and reinforced AAHP’s commitment to prioritizing education in these crucial areas and serving the interests of its members and the broader industry.

“In creating an open-to-industry forum, we were able to reach beyond our member companies and better educate non-member manufacturers, says Mark Land, volunteer President of AAHP. “Ultimately, more education and compliance throughout the industry will improve the quality of homeopathic products for consumers.”

The panelists for the event included Mark Land, M.S., RAC, AAHP President and Boiron USA Vice President of Government & Regulatory Affairs; Mary Borneman, AAHP Treasurer and Hyland’s Naturals Senior Director of Legal and Communications; Eric L. Foxman, Pharm. (Ret.), AAHP Secretary; Al Lorman, AAHP Counsel; and Alissa Gould, Chair of AAHP’s Communications Committee and Boiron USA Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.

Land continued, “On behalf of AAHP, we sincerely thank all attendees, panelists, and contributors who made the Town Hall event a resounding success. The unwavering support, active engagement, and insightful contributions are a testament to the bright future of our organization and the field of homeopathy.”

Next up, AAHP will host their GMP Summit in October. The Summit will include participation from an FDA representative and will provide a forum to discuss critical industry matters while facilitating meaningful dialogue. Additional details on the upcoming Summit will be released soon. For more information, visit AAHP’s website at www.theaahp.org.
