Hy-Vee expands retail media offering with Instacart integration

The move enhances Hy-Vee RedMedia’s retail media portfolio, allowing brands to connect with high-intent shoppers directly within search and browse experiences.

SAN FRANCISCO — Hy-Vee RedMedia has begun offering Sponsored Product ads on Hy-Vee.com through Instacart Carrot Ads, giving consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands premium digital shelf space. Instacart’s 7,500+ brand partners can now extend their campaigns to Hy-Vee.com, with Display ads planned for later this year.

The move enhances Hy-Vee RedMedia’s retail media portfolio, allowing brands to connect with high-intent shoppers directly within search and browse experiences. The platform also introduces self-service capabilities, enabling partners to manage campaigns with greater flexibility.

“Instacart Carrot Ads gives CPG brands a powerful way to connect with more high-intent consumers through our results-driven ad platform,” said Alice Luong, Senior Director of E-Commerce & Retail Media at Instacart. “We’re excited to give brands new opportunities to reach customers shopping on Hy-Vee.com, whether they are advertising as part of an Instacart national campaign or through Hy-Vee RedMedia.”

“Bringing Instacart Carrot Ads to Hy-Vee RedMedia enhances what we can offer our advertisers, providing them with a seamless, data-informed advertising solution directly within our digital platforms,” said Kathryn Mazza, president of Hy-Vee RedMedia and chief marketing officer of Hy-Vee, Inc. “This integration empowers our brand partners to reach the right customers at the right time, creating personalized, impactful shopping experiences that strengthen brand connections and drive results.”

“We work with a variety of CPG brands across dentsu and are excited for them to be able to reach additional customers on Hy-Vee.com,” said Sara Holcomb, EVP, Global Retail Partnerships, dentsu. “Instacart Ads has consistently delivered strong performance, and we look forward to engaging with Hy-Vee customers to drive more awareness and conversion.”

The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between Hy-Vee and Instacart, which began in 2018 with same-day delivery and has since expanded to fulfillment, same-day pickup, and now retail media advertising.
