WEST DES MOINES – Hy-Vee successfully launched its new monthly Senior Wellness Day program on Sept. 16, providing older adults with access to valuable health information and resources from the retailer’s health and wellness experts.
The inaugural event was held at participating Hy-Vee locations featuring both a pharmacy and hot food service, with registered pharmacists and dietitians sharing information on important health topics such as vaccinations, staying healthy during flu season and health insurance enrollment.
Designed to help seniors stay informed and engaged in their health, Senior Wellness Day attendees age 60 and older enjoyed a $5 Balanced Plate breakfast, complimentary coffee and 10% off vitamins.*
“Senior Wellness Day is another way Hy-Vee is helping customers stay connected to trusted health and wellness information from the retailer’s experts,” the company said.
Following the successful launch, Senior Wellness Day will continue on the third Wednesday of every month from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at participating Hy-Vee stores. Events will be held in the Market Grille area of stores that feature both a pharmacy and hot food service.
Through the monthly program, Hy-Vee aims to provide older adults with convenient access to health education, wellness resources and expert guidance in a welcoming community setting.
