J.D. Power ranks pharmacy leaders
Customer satisfaction with mail-order pharmacies is rising, while satisfaction with brick-and-mortar pharmacies has declined, according to the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Pharmacy Study. Good Neighbor Pharmacy led chain drugstores, Sam’s Club ranked highest among mass merchandisers, H-E-B topped supermarket pharmacies, and Amazon Pharmacy led the mail-order segment. The study found that consumers increasingly value a combination of personalized service, convenient access, and easy-to-use digital tools.

Retail crime shifts from shoplifting to fraud
Retail crime is evolving, with a decline in shoplifting but rises in fraud, scams, and organized retail crime, according to NRF’s 2026 Impact of Retail Theft & Violence report. Retailers report increases in phone scams, loyalty fraud, gift card theft, repeat offenders, and organized crime, despite reductions in shoplifting. Investments in security tech and training are helping, but criminals are exploiting vulnerabilities across physical and digital channels.
