CINCINNATI — KeySource, a leading national distributor of generic prescription medications, has announced a key leadership transition with the appointment of Ryan Sevek as Chief Executive Officer. In tandem, Albert Paonessa, the company’s longtime CEO, has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The leadership shift underscores KeySource’s commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence. Sevek, who has held multiple leadership roles since joining the company in 2017, will now steer overall strategy and performance while maintaining oversight of finance, IT, logistics, purchasing, and sales.

Sevek brings extensive experience in financial and operational leadership. He began his tenure at KeySource as Director of Finance and later served as CFO and President. Before KeySource, he led business analytics at Luxottica.
As Chairman, Paonessa will continue shaping the company’s strategic direction and industry partnerships. His eight-year tenure as CEO was marked by national expansion, deeper engagement with pharmacy providers, and enhanced distribution capabilities.

Sevek has increasing leadership in national conversations on pharmaceutical access and healthcare distribution through his involvement with the Health Distribution Alliance (HDA), and by regularly engaging with local and national policymakers on the critical role of pharmaceutical wholesalers in patient care delivery.
