Kodak expands pharmaceutical portfolio with Normal Saline launch, debuts U.S. online store

This product addition builds on Kodak’s growing portfolio of sterile, ready-to-use buffers and reagents manufactured in its U.S.-based, FDA-registered cGMP facility.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Co. is broadening its KODAK PHARMACEUTICALS business with the introduction of KODAK Normal Saline, 0.9%, and the launch of a new U.S.-based e-commerce platform designed to streamline purchasing for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences customers.

The sterile isotonic saline solution expands Kodak’s portfolio of ready-to-use buffers and reagents manufactured at the company’s FDA-registered, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) facility in the United States. The product marks Kodak’s entry into the sterile reagents market for laboratory and bioprocessing applications and is produced and aseptically filled domestically, with full traceability and USP compliance where applicable.

Kodak said the launch supports its strategy of providing customers operating in regulated environments with high-quality products backed by transparent sourcing and a reliable U.S.-based supply chain.

Alongside the product debut, Kodak unveiled a dedicated online marketplace for U.S. customers at pharmastore.kodak.com, offering direct access to its pharmaceutical-grade product portfolio. The platform enables users to browse products, compare specifications, view technical documentation and place orders online.

“The launch of KODAK Normal Saline, 0.9% and our new U.S. online store reflect our commitment to making essential pharmaceutical products more accessible to customers,” said Jim Continenza, executive chairman and CEO of Kodak. “By combining high-quality, domestically produced solutions with a simpler way to purchase them, we are creating a stronger foundation to serve pharmaceutical, biotech and life science organizations.”

The new saline product builds on Kodak’s existing offerings, which include Water for Injection and several phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) formulations. The company said additional products are in development as it continues expanding its pharmaceutical business, including plans to introduce Class II products manufactured in the United States.
