Lansinoh hires Thome as COO

Richard Thome has joined Lansinoh Laboratories Inc. as chief operations officer.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Richard Thome has joined Lansinoh Laboratories Inc. as chief operations officer.

The breastfeeding product maker said Thursday that Thome brings to the company a wide range of experience in all aspects of operations, including integration of new brands and products into current portfolios and a strong foundation in managing manufacturing plants and customer service teams. He reports to Diane Manwaring, president of Lansinoh Laboratories Americas.

Thome’s background covers the consumer packaged goods, medical device manufacturing, and over-the-counter and prescription medication manufacturing arenas.

Lansinoh said he previously served in a variety of executive leadership roles, including vice president of operations at Orange Glo International Inc., senior vice president of operations for Prestige Brands and executive vice president and general manager at Pall Corp.

"Recognizing the need for Lansinoh to expand its operations expertise in the areas of consumer packaged goods, OTC and medical device manufacturing, we are excited to welcome a team member with Richard’s caliber of talent and experience," Lansinoh chief executive officer Kevin Vyse Peacock said in a statement.
