Kao USA exec promoted to vice president of sales

John Sullivan has been named vice president of sales at Kao USA. The beauty care and personal care company said Friday that Sullivan, who will start in the new post Jan. 1, replaces Paul Nunnari, who has been appointed as president of Kao Canada.

Perrigo closes acquisition of Elan

Perrigo Co. has completed its $8.6 billion deal to acquire Irish pharmaceutical company Elan Corp. Perrigo said Wednesday that under the acquisition, announced in July, it has combined with Elan to form a new company incorporated in Ireland, which has adopted the global name Perrigo Company plc.

Rite Aid expands its partnership with GNC

Rite Aid Corp. has extended its partnership with GNC and plans to add hundreds more of the nutritional supplement retailer’s store-within-a-store departments to its drug stores. The drug chain said Thursday that the agreement expands the Rite Aid-GNC partnership to 2019.
