Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. has acquired Uteron Pharma SA, a Belgium-based developer of women’s health products. Watson said Wednesday that it has completed the deal, which includes an up-front cash payment of $150 million and up to $155 million in potential future milestone payments.

Walgreens mourns passing of longtime store exec

Glenn Kraiss, retired executive vice president of store operations for Walgreen Co., died Friday at age 79. A Walgreens spokesman said Monday that Kraiss’ career with the drug chain spanned 50 years to his retirement in 1999. He resided in Fountain Hills, Ariz., during his retirement.
