GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Meijer announced today it now accepts evermore over-the-counter (O-T-C) spend cards, expanding the ways eligible Medicare customers can use qualifying supplemental health plan benefits to purchase covered O-T-C products and other plan-approved items.
The new direct integration with evermore makes it easier for participating Medicare plan members to shop for approved health and wellness items at Meijer, including eligible O-T-C products and other items covered under their specific plan benefits.
"At Meijer, we are committed to helping customers take care of their health in convenient, affordable, and accessible ways," said Jackie Morse, Group Vice President of Pharmacy and Health at Meijer. "By accepting evermore O-T-C spend cards, we're giving eligible customers another simple way to use the benefits available through their health plans while shopping for the everyday essentials, healthy foods, and wellness products they need."
The integration comes as many Medicare Advantage plans continue to offer supplemental benefits that help seniors purchase approved items designed to support their health and well-being.
Customers should refer to their health plan materials or contact their plan provider for details about eligible products, available balances, and benefit timing.
"Meijer has spent more than 90 years earning a place in Midwest households," said Jared Childs, VP of Growth at evermore. "They have become a beloved destination where families do their shopping — food, pharmacy, everyday essentials, all in one stop, and by expanding evermore's card acceptance to Meijer, we're opening up access across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, core markets for the people we serve."
For more information, customers can visit their local Meijer store or contact their Medicare plan provider to confirm card eligibility and covered items.
