Mike Carter
“Mike and Alex’s expertise in marketing, business development and operational execution will help our clients profitably grow their businesses. They share our enthusiasm for our industry and we are fortunate to have them join the BGJ team,” said Jim Gillis, principal at BGJ.
“Mike will be continuing his relationship with TNG, which focuses on mergers and acquisitions, and has already brought in some important new business to BGJ. Alex is a unique resource in the industry and could have gone anywhere after Crossmark but chose BGJ because of the potential of our team. We expect great things from both of these leaders in the future,” he added.
Carter previously was executive vice president and chief revenue officer of TNG, a retail service and distribution company and division of the Jim Pattison Group. He also was president of select media and select merchandising. He serves on the Global Market Development Center (GMDC) Retail Tomorrow Advisory Board and formerly was on GMDC’s General Merchandise Advisory Board.
Alex Yakulis
“Vince, Jim and Rich have gathered some of the best minds in the industry at BGJ Group, so I appreciate their asking me to join the firm. I’ll do my best to help retailers and suppliers address the challenges and opportunities present in today’s hyper-competitive marketplace,” said Carter.
Yakulis most recently served as executive vice president, Business Development at Crossmark where he led topline growth initiatives. He has served on several industry advisory boards, including National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Consumer Healthcare Products Association, GMDC and National Association for Retail Marketing Services.
“BGJ Group does an amazing job of helping companies realize their full marketing and merchandising potential. I’m looking forward to bringing my skillset and my network of connections to strengthen that capability,” said Yakulis.
