LONDON — Minerva Research Labs is expanding its presence in the United States with the rollout of its Pure Gold Collagen Mini liquid skin care supplement at Walgreens.
Minerva said Monday that the product’s debut at select Walgreens locations follows its U.S. retail introduction at Ulta Beauty stores.
The anti-aging liquid vitamin formula contains a blend of collagen and active ingredients that help increase skin hydration and radiance, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin suppleness, and promote healthy-looking hair and nails, according to Minerva.
“The bioactive collagen peptides used in our liquid beauty supplements work most effectively in a drinkable format for best absorption and delivery via the blood stream to the skin cells, in the deeper layer of the skin (dermis),” stated Sara Sibilla, senior research scientist at Minerva Research Labs. “We recommend drinking one bottle a day for at least 30 days. Studies published on international medical journals demonstrated increased skin hydration (14% after six and nine weeks), a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles (19% after nine weeks) and increased skin elasticity (10% after six weeks).”
At Walgreens stores and online, Pure Gold Collagen Mini comes in a box of 10 1-fl.-oz. bottles for a 10-day program. The 1-fl.-oz. bottles offer a more concentrated formula in a smaller size than the 1.7 fl. oz. size available at Ulta and other retailers, Minerva said.
“After the success in Walgreens’ sister company Boots, Pure Gold Collagen has been the first and fastest-growing liquid beauty vitamin in the U.K. (over 10 million bottles sold),” commented Tony Sanguinetti, chief executive officer of Minerva Research Labs. “The U.S. market has responded well to Pure Gold Collagen, and as we continue to expand our distribution we are pleased to give more customers the chance to enjoy the product.”
