PITTSBURGH — Mylan N.V. has rolled out tramadol hydrochloride extended-release tablets, a chronic pain medication, in the United States.
The drug maker said its product comes in dosages of 100 mg, 200 mg and 300 mg and is a generic version of Ultram ER tablets from Valeant Pharmaceuticals International.
Tramadol hydrochloride ER tablets are indicated for the management of moderate to moderately severe chronic pain in adults who require around-the-clock treatment of their pain for an extended period of time.
The medication totaled U.S. sales of approximately $52.8 million for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2015, according to IMS Health data reported by Mylan.
