ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) is observing Women’s Health Month and Mental Health Awareness Month with a focus on nutrition and its role in promoting overall health and wellness. As part of NACDS’ ongoing Nourish My Health public education campaign, NACDS is showcasing participating member pharmacies and their commitment to providing services and solutions at over 25,000 pharmacy locations across the country.

“We recognize the vital role that pharmacy teams play in advancing women’s health and addressing mental health issues with a practical and scalable approach,” said NACDS president and CEO Steven Anderson. “With a focus on delivering trusted, convenient care, pharmacies are the ideal destination for comprehensive services that include information and education about these critical health issues.”
Nourish My Health ‒ a collaboration with leading national health organizations ‒ was developed by NACDS in 2023 as part of a national strategy to end hunger, improve nutrition, and reduce disease. Nourish My Health encourages baseline health screening to understand disease risks; offers healthy food guides and nutrition information; provides resources for professionals; and hosts a nutrition security survey which informs meaningful access solutions.
