TAMPA, Fla. — Ocean Global has introduced DiVertigo, an all-natural, over-the-counter remedy for vertigo symptoms.

The company said Tuesday that DiVertigo is an attractive option for vertigo sufferers because, unlike most other vertigo medications and remedies, it can be taken on a daily basis without side effects and can be purchased without a prescription.

Traditionally, prescription medications have been required for treating vertigo, leaving the patient with side effects like drowsiness and dry mouth, which is particularly frustrating for people who have vertigo episodes over the course of months or years, Ocean Global noted.

DiVertigo typically works in three to five minutes to restore equilibrium and balance, according to Ocean Global, and it contains no drugs, artificial additives or stimulants. The company said the solution provides relier for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, Meniere’s symptoms, labyrinthitis and other vestibular disorders.

"Vertigo and the dizziness that accompanies it can wreak havoc on a person’s quality of life," stated Jamie Petersen, chief executive officer of Ocean Global. "DiVertigo is a wonderful way to relieve vertigo naturally without the dependence on regular prescription medication."

Citing a study by the American Headache Society, Ocean Global reported that vertigo affects 5% to 10% of Americans, or up to 31 million people. Vertigo symptoms can include dizziness, nausea, disorientation and a spinning sensation. The condition, related to problems in the inner ear, occurs more often in women ages 50 to 60 and in the elderly.

DiVertigo is now available in retail stores and pharmacies nationwide, including such chains as CVS and Walmart, the company said.
