Percodan generic released by Mylan

Mylan Inc. has launched oxycodone and aspirin tablets, a treatment for moderate to severe pain. The company said Thursday that the product, oxycodone and Aspirin Tablets 4.8355 mg/325 mg, were launched by its Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc.

PITTSBURGH — Mylan Inc. has launched oxycodone and aspirin tablets, a treatment for moderate to severe pain.

The company said Thursday that the product, oxycodone and Aspirin Tablets 4.8355 mg/325 mg, were launched by its Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. subsidiary under an agreement with licensing partner Coastal Pharmaceuticals.

According to Mylan, the product is the generic version of Endo Pharmaceuticals’ Percodan Tablets.

Oxycodone and aspirin tablets had U.S. sales of about $6.5 million last year, according to IMS Health figures provided by Mylan.
