BOULDER, Colo. — Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy is unveiling a new retail banner with the opening its 26th location in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle.

The Queen Anne store will feature Pharmaca’s Natural Beauty Bar.

The integrative pharmacy chain said Friday that it plans to hold a grand opening celebration for the new Pharmaca Wellness & Natural Beauty store in Queen Anne on Sept. 13 and 14, at which attendees can enjoy complimentary services such as chair massages, mini-facials, mini-makeovers and more.

The Queen Anne store, Pharmaca’s fifth location in Washington, marks the debut of the Pharmaca Wellness & Natural Beauty banner. Like all Pharmaca stores, it offers an inviting shopping experience — including a complimentary cup of tea — and a broad selection of wellness essentials, natural beauty care, eco-friendly household products, and novel cards and gifts. Customers can also receive free guidance and advice from Pharmaca’s team of licensed professionals, including naturopathic doctors, homeopaths, herbalists and nutritionists.

At the Natural Beauty Bar, customers can browse spa-quality makeup and skin care, access beauty services such as brow waxes and lash applications, and receive expert assistance from estheticians on the best products and treatments for their needs. Combined with a warm shopping environment, including a complimentary cup of tea, Pharmaca provides customers with a stress-free and inviting shopping experience.

"Seattle residents have already come to know and love Pharmaca’s unique shopping experience, so we’re excited to be able to expand our presence here," Laura Coblentz, vice president of marketing and innovation at Pharmaca, said in a statement. "Now our neighbors in Queen Anne can get to know Pharmaca too, including our unique product offering and our team of health and beauty experts."

At the grand opening event, the first 100 attendees will receive a goodie bag filled with a variety of natural health and skin care products, and throughout the weekend anyone who makes a purchase of $5 or more will get a complimentary Pharmaca reusable shopping bag.

In addition, customers who sign up for Pharmaca’s Feel Better Rewards program, which provides exclusive offers and a quarterly dividend on purchases, will also receive a Pharmaca-brand body lotion for only 1 cent. Pharmaca, too, plans to donate 5% total retail sales on Sept. 13 to Queen Anne Helpline, a local charity that supports the financial stability, education and health of the community.

On its website, Pharmaca said it’s targeting two more store openings for late 2014 and early 2015: Tigard, Ore., in November and Beaverton, Ore., in January. The chain’s current 26 stores are in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.
