SHELTON, Conn. — Playtex has introduced redesigned Gentle Glide 360° tampons.
The Energizer feminine care brand said Thursday that the upgraded line of tampons incorporates Playtex’s latest innovation: Triple Layer Protection, a three-layer design that provides a powerful barrier against leaks.
In addition to the added protection, there’s a new and improved fragrance for the scented line, according to the company. The new tampons will also continue to feature the 360° Protection design that custom fits a woman’s unique body and adjusts to her flow.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Playtex Gentle Glide brand, 66% of women have altered their plans because of their period and fear of leakage.
"Our product was redesigned to better address this common concern," stated Chit Itchon, senior brand manager at Playtex. "We want to give women confidence and peace of mind so that they won’t be held back by their periods."
The new line comes in multiple absorbencies to address all flow needs, including Light, Regular, Super, Super Plus, Ultra and multi-absorbency packs and is available at most retail and online outlets nationwide. The suggested retail prices are $4.99 to $5.99 for an 18- to 20-count package and $7.99 to $8.99 for a 36- to 40-count package.
