CINCINNATI — Puffs has announced its sponsorship of the ice dancing duo Meryl Davis and Charlie White for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
The Procter & Gamble facial tissue brand said Monday that Puffs kicked off the partnership with Davis and White at the 2013 Hilton HHonors Skate America championships in Detroit. Puffs and the skaters were on site from Oct. 18 to 20, meeting with fans and jump-starting their run to the Winter Olympics.
"We feel that this partnership is a perfect fit and are proud to support Meryl and Charlie as they pursue their Olympic dreams," stated Lisa Feria, brand manager for Puffs facial tissues. "Puffs is dedicated to helping fans everywhere, no matter what their face has to face: winter harshness, cold and flu season, or tears of joy."
Davis and White have been competing together since 1997 and have been paired together longer than any ice dance team in the United States, according to P&G. The duo won a gold medal at the 2011 and 2013 World Championships and a silver medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.
"Being on team Puffs allows us to show the world what it really means to put your best face forward," Davis said in a statement. "Skating can be harsh on our faces as we train in winter conditions year round. Puffs helps us do what we love each and every day, while helping us look and feel our best."
