ReCept granted ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditation

ReCept Pharmacy has earned full specialty pharmacy accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

FORT WORTH, Texas — ReCept Pharmacy has earned full specialty pharmacy accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

ReCept said Wednesday that ACHC accreditation signifies its commitment to meeting national standards in specialty pharmacy services as well as its dedication to providing a higher level of performance and patient care.

"ReCept is honored to receive specialty pharmacy accreditation from ACHC," Carmine DeNardo, president and chief executive officer of ReCept Pharmacy. "Each one of our pharmacists is dedicated to providing our patients with the best, most comprehensive care possible. This accreditation serves as a symbol of that excellence, tangible proof that ReCept meets the highest level of commitment to quality and accountability."

A nonprofit organization, Cary, N.C.-based ACHC has accreditation programs for home health; pharmacy (including specialty, community retail, long-term care and infusion); durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS); hospice; and behavioral health, among others.

ReCept specializes in serving patients and their treating physicians within the therapeutic classes of autoimmune, hepatitis, HIV, oncology, compounding and pain management. Earlier this month, the company announced that it received specialty pharmacy accreditation from URAC, a Washington-based health care accrediting body.

Overall, ReCept’s network comprises 16 retail pharmacies in Texas, including five locations providing specialty pharmacy services and a dozen locations offering pharmacy compounding.
