Revlon said Tuesday that Figuereo, 60, who has served in senior financial roles at a wide range of companies, assumes the CFO post effective immediately. Most recently, he was executive vice president and CFO at mobile communications provider NII Holdings Inc., from October 2012 to October 2015.
“Juan is a highly capable and experienced senior executive, with decades of experience with global consumer goods companies and retailers which will be highly valuable as part of our leadership team,” stated Fabian Garcia, incoming president and chief executive officer at Revlon. “I am most confident that Juan is very well-equipped to assume leadership over our finance organization and partner with our team to drive to even stronger results going forward.”
Before joining NII Holdings, Figuereo served as executive vice president and CFO of Newell Rubbermaid Inc. from 2009 to 2012 and held the same title at Cott Corp. from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, he was vice president of mergers and acquisitions at Wal-Mart International from 2003 to 2007 and served in international, finance and general management positions at PepsiCo from 1988 to 2003.
“I am excited to join Revlon,” Figuereo commented. “I look forward to working with Fabian and Revlon’s extraordinary senior leadership team in continuing to drive growth and delivering strong results for our customers around the world.”
Plans call for Garcia is to take the CEO reins effective April 15. In late March, Revlon announced that the former Colgate-Palmolive executive would take over from Lorenzo Delpani, who stepped down as Revlon president and CEO on March 1 for personal reasons.
