BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam’s Club has promoted Sean Jackson to the post of senior vice president and general merchandise manager of consumables and health and wellness. He succeeds Jill Turner-Mitchael, who retired from that role at the end of January.
Turner-Mitchael joined Walmart in 1992 as a pharmacist in Lubbock, Texas. During her 26 years with the company, she led a number of teams at both Walmart and Sam’s Club, including head of pharmacy operations at Walmart and head of Sam’s Club’s merchandising, operations and health and wellness divisions. In recognition of her many contributions to the organization, Turner-Mitchael received the Sam M. Walton “Blue Coat” Award of Excellence. During her tenure Sam’s Club health and wellness was named highest in customer satisfaction among mass merchandiser pharmacies in four of the last six years.
Jackson joined Sam’s Club in 2009 to lead the company’s home division, and later transitioned to vice president and divisional merchandise manager of office and entertainment. On Friday he was named senior vice president and general merhandise manager of consumables and health and wellness.
