IRVINE, Calif. — Germany-based Sebamed skin care products are slated to hit shelves at CVS/pharmacy next year.

Physician Laboratories Inc., the U.S. distributor of Sebamed, said Tuesday that the products will be carried in 7,300 CVS stores starting in mid-January.

CVS will offer six of the top-selling Sebamed products, including Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash, Sebamed Moisturizing Body Lotion, Sebamed Moisturizing Face Cream, Sebamed Cleansing Bar, Sebamed Everyday Shampoo and Sebamed Repair Conditioner.

According to Physician Laboratories, the products are paraben-free, abundant with vitamins and amino acids, and biodegradable.

Plans call for Sebamed’s U.S. launch to be supported by television and print advertising, including a freestanding insert to 38 million households in March.

"We are delighted to have been invited to join the CVS team with Sebamed skin care products," stated Alex Fazeli, president of Physician Laboratories. "Sebamed products are sold with great success in 85 countries worldwide, and the 5.5 pH balance message inherent in the line resonates especially well with people who have sensitive skin, as well as with dermatologists."
