ANAHEIM, Calif. — Jondo-USA has launched its SnapBox framed prints and its EZWay software platform, which enable consumers to create and order high-quality framed prints from their smartphone and digital photos and pick them up at chain drug stores.

The company said this week that SnapBox products will be available starting next month for pickup and pay at 12,000 retail locations, including CVS/pharmacy, Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs, with free shipping to those stores.

With SnapBox, smartphone users transform their on-the-go photos into museum-quality works of art for their homes and offices or share gifts with friends and family. According to Jondo-USA, consumers are capturing billions of spontaneous photos and now can go one step further by instantly creating and ordering personalized photo decor using those images.

To order a SnapBox framed print, consumers simply email their selected photo to snapbox@snapboxez.com. A response e-mail arrives in minutes, allowing consumers to preview their SnapBox photo, select and order different sizes. Customers can opt to pay right then for the mail-to-home option or select free delivery to pick up and pay at one of its participating retail locations, which will become available in early November.

SnapBox framed prints start at less than $10 for a 5×5 or 5×7 print on stretched gallery-wrapped canvas. The new EZWay ordering service can be used with any iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry smartphone, or from any connected PC, tablet or camera.

"Our 25-year background in fine art reproductions for galleries and publishers is now available to smartphone users who want the same high quality for their own photo artwork in their homes and offices. The SnapBox print is a true photo giclée museum-quality wrapped print," stated John Doe, chief executive officer of Jondo. "With the broad use of smartphones and Instagram today, we are empowering these mobile users to quickly and easily transform their life moments into stunning works of art and enabling them to create personalized galleries or themes of images in their homes."

Consumers can choose from multiple sizes at special 2012 holiday prices ranging from $9.79 to $24.49. The sizes include a 5×5, 5×7, 8×10, 10×13 and 9×9, with the 5×5 and 9×9 square SnapBox prints ideal for Instagram photos. The personalized SnapBox framed prints can be shipped to home, sent as a gift or, beginning next month, picked up and paid for at 12,000 participating retail locations.

SnapBox uses Jondo’s "droplet on demand" archival pigmented ink, which can reproduce over 36 million colors. All images are printed on stretched canvas, and the finished product has a gloss finish that protects against moisture, UV rays and fading, the company said. The stretched canvas print comes with a 100% kiln-dried wood frame, made from certified renewable forests in Argentina, and has a black enamel finish and is ready for desktop or wall display.

Jondo-USA said SnapBox framed print orders are completed and delivered in a few days from one of its production facilities in Anaheim, Calif.; Seattle; or Albany, N.Y.
