Todd Vasos took over as chief executive officer of Dollar General Corp. on June 3, succeeding Rick Dreiling. Dreiling, 61, will remain as board chairman through January 29 and serve as a senior adviser until that date. Vasos, 53, had been chief operating officer at Dollar General since 2013.

Fruth to bring Rx to two FoodFair locations

Shoppers who buy groceries from FoodFair will soon have more convenient access to picking up their prescriptions as well. A new partnership will bring Fruth Pharmacy inside two FoodFair locations — in Pomeroy, Ohio, in mid-June and Grayson, Ky., in mid-July.

AmerisourceBergen to build three DCs

This summer, AmerisourceBergen Corp. plans to begin construction on three new distribution centers. The new facilities will be located in Olive Branch, Miss.; Shakopee, Minn.; and Newburgh, N.Y. AmerisourceBergen said building is expected take 18 to 24 months to complete.
