TeleBrands named as ‘marketer of the year’

TeleBrands, the leading producer of As Seen on TV products, has been named "Marketer of the Year" at the 2013 Electronic Retailing Association’s Moxie Awards.

FAIRFIELD, N.J. — TeleBrands, the leading producer of As Seen on TV products, has been named "Marketer of the Year" at the 2013 Electronic Retailing Association’s Moxie Awards.

Also at the event, the infomercial industry’s version of the Academy Awards, Pocket Hose from TeleBrands received the "Best Short Form Infomercial of the Year," TeleBrands said Wednesday. The nonprofit Electronic Retailing Association supports the $350 billion direct response television (DRTV) industry.

"We are proud to be recognized as Marketer of the Year, especially on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of TeleBrands," commented AJ Khubani, president and chief executive officer of TeleBrands. "From the advancements we’ve made in our industry to move once middle-of-the-night only infomercial products into mainstream retail establishments across the globe to perfecting the short-form infomercial, our team works tirelessly to bring problem-solving consumer products to market with the goal of reaching mass audiences."

TeleBrands said it has launched more products through DRTV than any other marketer ever and has revolutionized the category’s retail sector in over 100 countries, with its As Seen on TV products on shelves at such major retailers as Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS/pharmacy, Bed Bath & Beyond and others.

Current TeleBrands products include Stone Wave, Perfect Polly, Light Angel, Kansas Railroad Pocket Watch, Olde Brooklyn Lantern, Flip Jack Pancake Pan and PedEgg, which has sold over 45 million units since hitting store shelves in late 2008.
