CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Pacific Shore Holdings Inc. has added Thermal-Aid Headache Relief, a migraine pain relief solution, to its Thermal-Aid and Thermal-Aid Zoo line.
The company said Tuesday that the Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System, developed by a board-certified neurologist, encompasses an all-natural topical cream applied to the forehead and temples plus a plush cooling mask that is placed over the eyes, blocking out light and providing gentle pressure to alleviate migraine and tension headaches.
According to Pacific Shore, the topical cream is absorbed transdermally and reduces swelling of blood vessels and membranes that become enlarged during a migraine incident. Meanwhile, the cooled, plush eye mask speeds relief by softly pressing the temporal area.
Specific claims for the Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System — "relief in minutes" and "over 90% efficacy" — have been supported by medical research published in peer-reviewed professional journals such as "Journal of Practical Pain Management" and accepted for presentations at the 38th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine meeting in Boston last month, Pacific Shore said, adding that another presentation will be made at the 16th Congress of the International Headache Society later this month.
The company’s Thermal-Aid, an all-natural heating and cooling application, and child-friendly Thermal-Aid Zoo products can also be found at retailers including Ralphs supermarket pharmacies, Costco, Costco.com and CVS.
