pharmacists and pharmacy team members:
- April 2 – From Your Shelves to Patient Consumers: Using Front-End Supplies to Market Diabetes Care Services webinar, part of our monthly NCPA Learning Hour series. Patients living with diabetes are more susceptible to kidney disease, nerve damage, and a host of complications. Explore how to use front-end products to improve these patients’ quality of life and market your pharmacy’s diabetes care services. Learn more and register.
- April 4 – Implementing Pharmacogenomics bonus session. Those who sign up by April 3 for NCPA’s Implementing Pharmacogenomics on-demand course with Avant Pharmacy and Wellness will also be able to join this additional live, two-hour online session for even more resources. Learn more and register.
- April 11 – DEA Discussion: Update on Burglaries of Independent Pharmacies, E-Prescribing Fraud, and Tips for Protecting Your Store webinar. Join DEA staff for a discussion on the current situation of pharmacy burglaries, suggestions for pharmacies on hardening security, and advice on procedures to report burglaries. The webinar, which is co-sponsored by NCPA and the American Pharmacists Association, will also discuss e-prescribing fraud and steps pharmacies should take to protect themselves. - April 17-18 – NCPA’s 2024 Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In, in Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C. It’s the most important advocacy event on the calendar. Build rapport and foster relationships with those making decisions central to the future of pharmacy. Learn more and register.
- April 19-20 – Business of Long-Term Care Workshop, in Alexandria, Va., presented by the NCPA Long-Term Care Division. This is an intensive crash course on owning and operating a long-term care pharmacy to help attendees grow their LTC offering from a few to a few thousand beds. Registration for this event has closed; our next offering will be prior to the 2024 NCPA Annual Convention in October. Learn more.
- April 29 – Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center is teaming up with PharmFurther to offer this turnkey online course that will help prepare participants for DSME accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing. - May 1 – Mental Health First Aid Training, online. Pharmacy team members are more likely to encounter a mental health episode than a situation requiring basic life support or CPR. This live online training course will help attendees identify, understand, and respond to people in need of this assistance. Registration opens soon. Learn more.
