MIAMI — Prostate health formula UrinoZinc has added to its product line available at Walmart.
Vitanergy Inc., maker of the dietary supplement for men, said Wednesday that UrinoZinc Plus with Beta-Sitosterol is now available at almost all Walmart stores, which also carry UrinoZinc Prostate Formula.
The company bills the product as the only over-the-counter prostate formula with a U.S. patent.
According to Vitanergy, the main cause of an unhealthy prostate and thinning hair has been scientifically proven to be the hormone DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Diminishing the production of DHT, or blocking its binding to cell receptors in the prostate or in the cells of hair follicles, will generate beneficial actions on the prostate and hair. Ingredients in UrinoZinc produce these effects on DHT. By maintaining a healthy prostate, men may be able to avoid difficulty urinating, painful ejaculation, pain during urination and frequent urination.
UrinoZinc Plus with Beta-Sitosterol includes all of the same ingredients found in the original formula plus beta-sitosterol, vitamin D, and Stinging Nettle. It also contains increased amounts of Saw Palmetto. Beta-Sitosterol is one of several phytosterols found in plants, including Saw Palmetto. It is the active ingredient in Saw Palmetto berries, which have been used for hundreds of years to support overall prostate health. The company said Beta-Sitosterol has been recommended by physicians in Europe for many years as a natural treatment to promote normal prostate.
Vitanergy said UrinoZinc Plus’ formula was developed by urologists and is designed for alleviating the symptoms of BPH, for use as a nutritional supplement by men on prostate-benefiting drugs (including alpha-adrenergic blockers and 5 alpha-reductase) and for use as a nutritional support for individuals using antibiotics for bacterial prostatitis. The company added that the formula has also been shown to help reverse male pattern baldness because it helps diminish the amount of androgens produced by the body.
Besides Walmart, other food and drug retailers selling UrinoZinc products, which also include UrinoZinc Wellness Tea, include Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kmart, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, Meijer, Navarro Discount Pharmacy, Bartell Drugs and Duane Reade.
