CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble Co.’s Vicks cold, cough and flu brand has made a foray into the allergy relief category with the launch of QlearQuil.

P&G said Wednesday that the new Vicks QlearQuil line — the company’s first offering in the over-the-counter allergy medicine segment — comprises six products for daytime, nighttime or 24-hour allergy relief.

Products include QlearQuil All Day & All Night 24 Hour Allergy Relief tablets, QlearQuil Nighttime Allergy Relief caplets, QlearQuil Daytime Sinus & Congestion LiquiCaps, QlearQuil Nighttime Sinus & Congestion LiquiCaps and QlearQuil 12-Hour Nasal Decongestant Moisturizing Spray. Also offered is a combination pack of the daytime and nighttime sinus and congestion relief LiquiCaps.

The QlearQuil lineup offers effective relief from common sinus and allergy symptoms, such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, itching of the nose and throat, sinus pressure and sinus congestion. P&G noted that the QlearQuil suite of products enables consumers to customize their treatment based on their symptoms.

"Consumer research tells us that a significant number of people who have allergy symptoms only experience them occasionally," stated Patrick Lockwood-Taylor, vice president and general manager of North America Personal Health Care at P&G. "Occasional allergy sufferers often experience unpredictable symptoms that can vary by time of year, by week or even by day, which is where QlearQuil comes in. It provides a range of trusted products that can treat symptoms day, night or 24 hours. And Vicks, which has prioritized respiratory symptom relief for more than 100 years, is poised to provide this offering."

QlearQuil products are available now in the sinus and allergy aisles of major retailers nationwide.

P&G added that before QlearQuil’s launch, the brand earned the Good Housekeeping Seal after evaluation by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.
