DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreen Co.’s Healthcare Clinic and iTriage have rolled out a mobile appointment scheduling application nationwide.
Walgreens said Wednesday that the expanded free mobile service, previously piloted in Denver and Chicago, is now available to patients at the more than 400 Healthcare Clinic locations across the country.
Appointment setting via iTriage is fully integrated, so patients aren’t just requesting an appointment but also booking one, Walgreens noted. They receive an immediate confirmation after requesting an appointment.
Besides booking an appointment at a Healthcare Clinic, users also can identify symptoms and learn associated conditions, as well as treatments options.
"We are always looking for innovative ways to help our patients better manage their health, and by enhancing access to information and appointments iTriage furthers this goal," Heather Helle, divisional vice president for the Walgreens Consumer Solutions Group, said in a statement. "As Healthcare Clinic continues to expand services and serve as an entry point for many into the health care system, it’s critical to leverage the latest technology, especially mobile."
The appointment setting app is offered across all iTriage mobile platforms, including iPhone, iPad and Android, as well as and online at iTriageHealth.com.
