BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart U.S. has promoted Carmen Bauza to senior vice president of OTC health and wellness, filling the roll previously held by Scott McCall.
Bauza, who most recently was vice president of beauty and personal care, takes the new post effective Feb. 1 and will report to Dr. John Agwunobi, president of health and wellness at Walmart.
Her promotion was part of Walmart U.S. merchandising staff changes announced Thursday in a company memo from Duncan Mac Naughton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
In the memo, Mac Naughton stated that Bauza "has been instrumental in developing a strong foundation in our beauty business through innovation and supplier partnerships. Carmen previously served as vice president responsible for leading merchandising strategies for seasonal and basic candy, impulse and gift cards."
McCall, meanwhile, is moving into the role of senior vice president for toys, seasonal and celebrations. With Walmart since 1993, he most recently was senior vice president of health and wellness, in which he "delivered outstanding results and helped redefine how we delivered our over-the-counter offering in the health and wellness category," Duncan stated in the memo. McCall has previously served as vice president of toys and senior vice president of consumables at Walmart.
