BENTONVILLE, ARK. — Walmart employees will be able to get more than 250 prescriptions for free next year, including GLP-1s for diabetes.
The company will offer Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and Lilly's Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes at no cost after a new prior authorization, CNBC reported. It will not cover GLP-1s for weight loss. Other big employers also don’t cover the obesity treatments or have ended coverage to lower healthcare costs.
Other free products will include some insulin, and inhalers.
