PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. has formally designated its Parsippany, N.J., facility as its new corporate headquarters.

The global pharmaceutical company said late Wednesday that previously its corporate headquarters was in Corona, Calif., and its executive offices and commercial headquarters were located in Morristown, N.J.

The new, 148,700-square-foot corporate headquarters in Parsippany occupies an entire building within a multitenant corporate office campus as well as a floor of an adjacent building, according to Watson. The company added that it’s in the final stages of relocating all New Jersey employees from various facilities to the new site.

Watson said the new facility enables it to combine the operations currently in separate facilities in the Morristown area into a larger space, allowing the company to more efficiently manage its growing generic drug and branded pharmaceutical and biologics businesses around the world.
