SALT LAKE CITY — Zarbee’s Naturals, the maker of a natural cough syrup for children, has expanded its wellness offerings with a new line of immune support products for every member of the family, from infants as young as 2 months to toddlers, tweens and their parents.

Zarbee’s said Tuesday that each of the four new products contains natural ingredients, key vitamins and minerals to help support a family’s immune systems without drugs, alcohol or artificial dyes.

Mighty Bee Immune Support gummies are free of animal byproducts and safe for kids ages 2 and up, according to the company. The gummies feature elderberry, clinically proven to support a strong immune system, and their formulation of vitamins and minerals includes vitamins C and D, both of which play a number of roles in promoting normal immune function.

Meanwhile, Daily Bee Immune Support gummies are formulated for daily support in children ages 4 and older. Daily Bee includes vitamins C, A and E as well as echinacea and zinc, both of which help maintain and bolster the immune system.

Zarbee’s said its new Baby Immune Support + Vitamins are the only immune support product on the market for babies as young as 2 months. Designed to provide infants and toddlers with everyday immune support and essential vitamins, the product contains brown rice syrup extract and zinc — both of which help maintain the immune system — as well as vitamins C, A, D3 and E.

And Elderberry Immune Support gummies bring a concentrated formula featuring a burst of elderberry, vitamin C and zinc to help support the maturing immune system of tweens and teens — and even their parents, too. The pectin-based formula features natural ingredients, with no animal byproducts, drugs, alcohol or artificial dyes.

Zarbee’s noted that studies show that children in daycare or school may catch up to 12 common viral infections each year, with each lasting seven to 10 days. And while sick days are a normal part of growing up and help to prepare the immune system, it’s possible to reduce the number of colds and flus that stop busy families in their tracks, the company said.

"The building blocks of a strong immune system are good food, good sleep, and good physical activity," stated Dr. Zak Zarbock, pediatrician and founder of Zarbee’s Naturals. "Studies link deficiencies in zinc and vitamins A, C, D and E to reduced immune function, so it’s best to ensure your child is getting the immune-supporting vitamins, minerals and nutrients they need with a quality supplement."
