The deals span holiday gifts, Halloween merchandise, fall clothing and home products. Amazon also is promoting grocery discounts and digital shopping tools that it says will help customers track prices and automate purchases.

SEATTLE — Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sales event, set for October 6–7, will use discounts across electronics, apparel, beauty, toys and household essentials to encourage early holiday purchases while capturing consumer spending on fall activities.

The two-day event will feature millions of offers exclusively for Prime members, starting at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time on October 6. Amazon said the promotion will include some of its lowest prices of the year so far.

The deals span holiday gifts, Halloween merchandise, fall clothing and home products. Amazon also is promoting grocery discounts and digital shopping tools that it says will help customers track prices and automate purchases.

A central feature will be “Today’s Big Deals,” a series of limited-time offers launching at midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pacific time each day. Discounts will reach 50% or more on selected products, with most offers representing Amazon’s lowest prices of the year so far, according to the company. Products will be available while supplies last.

Those promotions will include $2,000 off a selected Sony big-screen television and discounts of up to 50% on selected Korean beauty products from medicube and Dr.Jart+.

Other electronics offers will include savings of up to 50% on selected headphones and earbuds from Bose, Soundcore and Beats, and up to 40% on selected computers from Dell, HP and Asus. Selected Amazon device bundles, including Echo and Ring products, will be discounted by up to 60%.

In home and kitchen, Amazon plans savings exceeding $500 on selected Breville espresso machines and discounts of up to 40% on selected appliances from Ninja, Keurig and Crock-Pot. Selected bedding, seasonal décor, furniture and power tools will also be included.

Fashion offers will feature discounts of up to 40% on selected footwear from Dr. Martens, FRYE and Hunter, along with sweaters, denim and outerwear from Carhartt, Levi’s and Free People. Selected styles sold through Zappos on Amazon will be discounted by up to 50%.

The holiday gift assortment will include savings of up to 40% on selected sensory toys and collectibles, and up to 30% on selected LEGO and MAGNA-TILES building sets. Halloween promotions will cover costumes, decorations and candy.

Amazon is also extending the event into routine household spending. Planned offers include discounts of up to 35% on selected grocery and pantry products from Pringles, poppi and KIND, and up to 30% on selected cleaning products from Lysol, Scott and Tide.

Additional grocery promotions will offer discounts of up to 70% on selected items. Amazon said Prime members can receive free same-day delivery on qualifying orders over $25. Its Amazon Now service, available in selected cities, will offer delivery in 30 minutes, with free delivery on orders over $15 during the event.

Alongside the discounts, Amazon is highlighting Alexa for Shopping as a way to manage purchases. Customers can set deal alerts, receive notifications when items on their shopping lists drop in price and view up to 365 days of pricing history.

An Auto-Buy feature will let customers set a target price and authorize Alexa to purchase an item automatically when that price is reached, giving Amazon another way to convert shoppers’ interest into sales during the promotion.
