CON-CRĒT Creatine HCI is expanding into Target and CVS

As creatine goes mainstream, CON-CRĒT is bringing its patented formula to more consumers.

NASHVILLE — Vireo Systems Inc. announced a major retail expansion for CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl, its high-solubility creatine formulation that provides the benefits of creatine without the unpleasant side effects.

The molecule has been awarded more patents than any other creatine, the company said today in announcing the expansion of the curated product lineup to most Target and CVS stores, along with availability online at Target.com.

This expansion comes amid growing consumer interest in creatine supplements for performance and recovery, as well as brain health and healthy aging, the company said. With this expanded footprint, CON-CRĒT is delivering Creatine HCl to mainstream consumers where they are shopping with health and wellness intent.

“Creatine has moved beyond the gym and into everyday wellness, but many consumers don’t realize that there are different forms,” said Mark Faulkner, founder and CEO of Vireo Systems. “Our expansion into Target and CVS gives us the opportunity not only to make CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl more accessible, but also to educate consumers. CON-CRĒT has better absorption than traditional creatine monohydrate, so smaller, more convenient dosing delivers creatine to all cells, without unwanted side effects like bloating or stomach issues.”

CON-CRĒT is launching into Target with refreshed packaging that reflects the brand’s evolution from its athletic roots into a premium, accessible wellness brand. The simplified yellow and white design evolves the brand's bold, performance-driven look to a cleaner, more modern aesthetic designed to appeal to a broader base of health-conscious consumers.

 The Target assortment includes:

  • CON-CRĒT HCl Capsules, 72 count:  Creatine HCl in a convenient capsule format. Available in 785 stores.
  • CON-CRĒT HCl Powder, Pineapple flavored, 64 servings: A flavored beverage powder offering CON-CRĒT’s Creatine HCl in an easy-to-mix daily serving. Available in 785 store\CON-CRĒT
  • Creatine HCl + Hydration Citrus Mango, 40 servings: An optimized formula combining Creatine HCl with electrolytes and vitamins for hydration support for performance and recovery.

CON-CRĒT is also expanding into CVS with multiple formats designed to reach established creatine users and consumers who are newer to the category. With products merchandised alongside everyday health and wellness essentials, CVS provides CON-CRĒT with a high-traffic retail environment to introduce Creatine HCl to a broader consumer base.

 The CVS assortment includes:

• CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl Capsules, 48 count: Creatine HCl in a convenient capsule format. Available in 4,277 stores.

  • CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl Gummies, 60 count: A delicious, convenient, easy-to-take format designed for consumers seeking an alternative to traditional powders and capsules. Available in 5,036 stores.
  • CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl Powder, Lemon Lime, 48 servings: A flavored beverage powder offering CON-CRĒT’s Creatine HCl in an easy-to-mix daily serving.  Available in 3,153 stores.

CON-CRĒT products are made at CON-CRĒT's NSF-certified, GMP-certified, SQF-certified facility in Plattsmouth, Neb. They are gluten-free, certified vegan by Vegan Action, and have no calories, carbs, sugar or artificial colors and flavors.

The company said CON-CRĒT Creatine HCl has eight U.S. patents, and that independent university research demonstrated up to 59 times greater solubility for the product along with 70% increased bioavailability. Unlike conventional creatine monohydrate supplements, CON-CRĒT’s highly concentrated formula allows users to take smaller servings that deliver as much or more of the benefits of much larger serving of creatine monohydrate, the company said. This helps to avoid common unwanted effects of creatine monohydrate, such as water retention, stomach discomfort, or bloating.
