WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition announced the results of its Board of Directors elections, effective January 2026, positioning the trade group’s leadership to tackle regulatory, legislative, and market challenges in the dietary supplement and functional food industry.
Ryan Woodbury, co-founder and co-CEO of Needed, was recently elected to CRN’s board. Re-elected for another three-year term were Diane Alexander, sales director at Verb Biotics; Doug Brown, vice president of global account management at Sirio Pharma Co. Ltd.; Bradley Reynolds, president and CEO of Fermenta USA; Andrew Shao, senior vice president of international scientific and regulatory affairs at Niagen Bioscience; and Anthony Weston, CEO of SUANNUTRA. Mike Finamore, CEO of Gemini Pharmaceuticals, was appointed to fill a board vacancy.
“As we move into 2026, CRN’s Board of Directors brings the perspective and strategic focus our industry needs,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO of CRN. “Our board leadership helps ensure the association remains proactive on legislative and regulatory issues, grounded in science, and committed to supporting responsible growth across the supplement and functional food marketplace.”
CRN also highlighted recent additions to its board based on company size, including Kyle Garner, president of Better Being Co.; Rachel Jones, executive vice president and chief merchandising and science officer at GNC; and Andrew LaBarbera, CEO of Great HealthWorks. According to CRN bylaws, member companies with annual sales exceeding $120 million automatically earn a board seat, while smaller members can be elected for three-year terms.
Bruce Brown, CEO of ReCellience15, will continue to serve as board chair through 2026. Tara Martin, senior vice president and general counsel at Nutrawise Health & Beauty LLC, remains the immediate past chair, while Karen Todd, R.D., vice president of global brand marketing at Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., Inc., will serve as chair-elect and take on the role in 2027. Other officers include Chris Reid, chief legal officer at Plexus Worldwide, as treasurer, and Aaron Bennett, chief R&D officer at Vytalogy Wellness, as secretary.
Members of CRN’s executive committee also include senior leaders from Nature’s Way, Pharmavite, Kenvue, Unilever Wellbeing Collective, Stratum Nutrition, Haleon, Herbalife, and Amway. Harvey Kamil, an advisor at Piping Rock Health Products, serves as chair emeritus.
