WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy has introduced Express Pick Up photo service for its online customers.

The drug store chain said Friday that customers can now create photo books, calendars, cards and order prints online at CVSphoto.com and pick up their finished products in about an hour at any of the more than 7,100 CVS/pharmacy locations nationwide.

"Express Pick Up is a perfect example of how we are making it more convenient than ever for our customers to use CVS Photo by offering services that save time," Grant Pill, vice president of merchandising for CVS/pharmacy, said in a statement. "As our customers look ahead to their holiday shopping, Express Pick Up will give them a quick and easy option to create personalized and meaningful gifts and greetings that are available when they need them, whether shopping early or at the last minute."

To use the new service, customers visit CVSphoto.com, click on "Express Pick Up" at the top of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions to find the nearest CVS store. They then choose from the selection of gifts available at each location and create their prints or gifts from the digital photos in their free online storage on CVSphoto.com. Products are ready for pick up in about an hour, the company said.

Items eligible for Express Pick Up include various sizes of products in the following categories: photo prints, photo books, calendars and greeting cards.

CVS added that from Oct. 24 to 30, customers who buy any Express Pick Up photo product will get one free.
