STAMFORD, Conn. — Retail branding specialist Daymon Worldwide has launched what it calls the first mobile application for private brands.

The app provides tools and links to information on the private-brand industry. |
Dubbed iDaymon, the mobile app — for the Apple iPhone and iPad and Google Android mobile device platforms — provides retailers with access to resources, consumer insights, and industry news and events for the private-label market.
The app’s "Resources" icons includes such tools as a store walk assistant and a private-brand opportunity calculator, plus information on private-brand penetration in multiple countries.
Another feature called "Insights" links to information on industry trends, the latest social media buzz and private-brand launches.
Also, there’s a "News and Events" feature that links to retail and private-brand industry news along with finger-tip access to a global calendar of industry events, such as trade shows and conferences.
"Private brands will continue to be a source of growth for retailers around the world, and with that growth comes the need for more and better information," stated Andres Siefken, chief marketing officer for Daymon Worldwide. "Large national and international brands usually have access to a wealth of research and insights, and our goal is to make sure that private brands have the same advantage that comes from real-time access to information."
The iDaymon private-brands app is available for download at idaymon.com or from Apple’s iTunes store.
