Hy-Vee lowers holiday meal deal price to feed 10 for under $35

“We know customers are especially focused on value this holiday season, and the new Hy-Vee Holiday Meal Deal makes it even easier to feed more people for the lowest price.”

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee Inc. has lowered the price of its holiday meal bundle from the $39 offer announced earlier. The new Holiday Meal Deal serves 10 people for less than $35, as the grocer competes on price during a season when shoppers are watching every dollar.

At less than $3.50 per guest, the deal matches or beats offers from national discount retailers, the company said. Hy-Vee said it found additional savings, allowing it to lower the price.

“We know customers are especially focused on value this holiday season, and the new Hy-Vee Holiday Meal Deal makes it even easier to feed more people for the lowest price,” said Anna Stoermer, Hy-Vee’s executive vice president and chief merchandising and retail officer.

The 26-item bundle includes a traditional holiday dinner, made mostly with Hy-Vee store-brand products. It features a frozen turkey weighing up to 12 pounds, plus ingredients for green bean casserole, corn muffins, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, stuffing, and gravy. The bundle also includes fresh Ocean Spray cranberries, a dozen brown-and-serve dinner rolls, and everything needed for a pumpkin pie, including the crust and whipped topping.

The deal is available in stores and online from Nov. 2 to Dec. 24. Hy-Vee also offers a gluten-free version for $50 or less.

The company also offers Premade Holiday Meals for customers who prefer not to cook. Serving groups of 2 to 12, each meal includes a choice of protein and prepared sides that only need to be reheated. Customers can order at local stores or on Hy-Vee.com by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving or 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 22 for Christmas. Delivery and store pickup are available.

All Hy-Vee stores will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. However, customers can pick up premade Thanksgiving meals from 8 to 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Christmas meals are available for pickup until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Throughout November, every Hy-Vee location will also run its “Buy a ham, get a turkey free” promotion.
