MIAMI — Navarro Discount Pharmacy is extending the reach of its prescription drug services with Navarro RX App, a free pharmacy mobile application.
The Miami-area drug store chain said Thursday that Navarro RX App links mobile device users to the retailer’s new mobile website, m.navarro.com, and provides a menu of pharmacy tools. The app supports iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones — and soon Windows Mobile 7 devices — as well as two-way interactive SMS messaging.
"The Navarro RX App is an innovative communication tool that gives customers 24×7 access to the pharmacy and allows them to more easily manage their prescriptions," Sergio Campos, chief information officer for Navarro Discount Pharmacy, said in a statement.
Customers with a Navarro prescription can access the app at m.navarro.com or from mobile app stores. Features include the ability to interact with the pharmacy 24 hours a day; view and reorder prescriptions; receive prescription reminders via SMS, e-mail, push notifications and mobile calendar integration; and get pickup reminders when prescriptions are ready.
Navarro RX App users also can set up automatic delivery of refill reminders; receive dosage reminders; request refills and track prescription refill status by SMS or phone app; access store maps and locators, enabling them to find the nearest Navarro pharmacy on the go; and manage doctor and other key health information, the drug chain said.
"Making a mobile app available for customers is yet another way we are enhancing the customer experience at Navarro," stated Albert Garcia, executive vice president of pharmacy operations at Navarro Discount Pharmacy.
