As the wildfires rage in California, retailers are stepping up to support impacted communities and responders who are risking their lives to fight the fires. Among them are CVS Health, Walgreens, Kroger, Rite Aid and Amazon.
The company has said it is closing more than 1,200 stores nationwide over the next three years in an effort to improve earnings and control operating costs.
The settlement with Kroger is separate from the $1.2 billion multistate settlement Kroger reached with dozens of states in 2023.
